Crafting & Assembly

Unfortunately, the Crafting & Assembly arena is littered with scams that require money up front to pay for "material kits" and a promise to buy back the items you make if they "meet their quality standards."

Therein lies the problem - in many cases, people buy the kits, build the items and ship them back to the company, only to be told that their work was not up to par.

The good news is, I've tracked down a few companies that really are reputable and DO pay when you do a good job.

Yes, these companies will require that you purchase material kits to get started (it makes sense since they had to purchase the materials and if you don't perform they're out the money and the materials), but they are reasonable and reputable when it comes to accepting completed work and paying for it.

MA
1 Disciple's Cross  (you may have seen these on Survivor Thailand)
2 New England Crafters

Never, ever pay for a job! (See note above on "kit" purchases.)

While I have done my best to exclude scams and similar links from this site, I cannot guarantee the legitimacy of any link, company, hirer, etc. You are strongly urged to perform their own "due diligence" on any hirer you might consider.
