Who Is Laura?
I
am a seventeen year old living in a rural town in Connecticut. It’s
a town where if a cow disappears from a farm, it's talked
about for years.
My mother, Christine Durst,
is actually the founder of the Virtual Assistant Industry. Her company
designs training programs that teach military and Foreign Service
spouses to have home-based,
portable careers. My brother, Zach, is the biggest role model in my
life. At the moment, he is in California studying Arabic for the U.S.
Air Force.
In my spare time, I enjoy kicking other’s butts on the tennis
courts,
sketching, watching movies, (Moulin Rouge, Pride and Prejudice, and Big Fish are my favorites) and hanging out
with my friends. My must-have is a camera or a sketchbook and pencil. My passion for
photography is inherited from my father and my passion to create is a gift my mother has blessed me with.
I participate in my high school’s Student Council, am a
member of the National Honors Society, Latin Honors Society, and
the Junior Varsity Tennis team. In my spare time, I volunteer as much
as possible and work hard to bring this site to you!
My future goals include getting into a
good college, working as a teacher, and making a difference in the lives of those around me. Helping people is the
greatest source of pleasure in my life.
