Who Is Laura?
I
am a nineteen year old who grew up in a rural town in Connecticut. It’s
a town where if a cow disappears from a farm, it's talked
about for years.
Currently, I am a freshman at the University of Vermont where I am studying Elementary Education.
My mother, Christine Durst,
is actually the founder of the Virtual Assistant Industry. Her company
designs training programs that teach military and Foreign Service
spouses to have home-based,
portable careers. My brother, Zach, is the biggest role model in my
life. He is in the U.S.
Air Force and currently stationed at Dyess AFB in Texas.
In my spare time, I can usually be found in the gym,
sketching, watching movies, (Moulin Rouge, Pride and Prejudice, and Big Fish are my favorites) and hanging out
with my friends. My must-have is a camera or a sketchbook and pencil. My passion for
photography is inherited from my father and my passion to create is a gift my mother has blessed me with.
My
future goals include excelling in my college studies, working as a
teacher, and making a difference in the lives of those around me.
Helping people is the
greatest source of pleasure in my life.
